What is wellness?
"Wellness" is the English word for wellbeing. Since the 1950s, the term has also served as an umbrella concept for a holistic approach to health and for what was, at the time, a completely new health movement.
Wellness is not only about beauty treatments, saunas and swimming pools – it also encompasses mindful nutrition, mindful exercise, meditation, massages, and a conscious approach to nature, to indulgences and to personal care.
What wellness does for you
Wellness is far more wide-ranging than what is usually discussed.
Platforms such as Google and the like show the picture everyone knows. But wellness has much more to do with a certain lifestyle. A better life comes almost automatically through healthy nutrition, relaxation and fitness.
So if you live under stress every day, come home in the evening and cannot switch off because your thoughts keep returning to work, it is worth changing your lifestyle. The right wellness treatments make exactly that far easier. Take the time and try to transform your life through relaxation, meditation and proper nutrition. Once you begin to notice even small improvements, you won't want to stop. You will handle everyday stress and still be able to relax afterwards and let your mind rest.
Why wellness?
Why not? Let us give you a taste of it.
Imagine your holiday is coming up. You haven't yet chosen a destination, nor decided what you would like to do. A holiday by the sea? In the lowlands? Or perhaps in the Tyrolean Alps? Picture yourself relaxing in the pool with a view of the mountains. After an extensive fitness programme, you decide to book a massage to loosen your muscles. Afterwards, a good meal is certainly in order. Then a nightcap, and off to bed, thoroughly content. In the morning you wake up deeply relaxed and ready to start the day with a nourishing breakfast. You decide to join the yoga class, because it builds inner strength and sharpens the mind. And that is how your time can pass at the wellness hotel of your choice, the Alpin Resort Sacher. Usually it goes by far too quickly.
