A member of Leading Hotels of the World since 1 January 2023

Leading Hotels of the World is a curated collection of around 400 independent hotels in more than 80 countries worldwide. Eight hotels in Austria are Leading Hotels of the World, three of them belonging to the Sacher Group.

Following intensive conversions, extensions and refinements, the host team around owner Elisabeth Gürtler and General Manager Anton Gustav Birnbaum has been welcoming guests to the Alpin Resort Sacher Seefeld-Tirol – the highest-altitude Sacher – since September 2022.

Elisabeth Gürtler has been closely associated with Leading Hotels of the World for many years and has helped shape the standards of this curated collection; since 2016 Sacher has also been represented on the Executive Board of Leading Hotels of the World. In 2010, in recognition of her personal commitment and the "trendition" she embodies, Elisabeth Gürtler was honoured as the first ever "Leading Legend". "Being a Leading Hotel of the World is by no means something to take for granted, and I am delighted that we have developed the Alpin Resort Sacher into a Leading Hotel with great care and attention to detail," says Elisabeth Gürtler. Over the past weeks and months, the team of the Alpin Resort Sacher Seefeld-Tirol worked intensively on the application process before the Leading Hotels of the World board and, thanks to their outstanding preparation, clearly convinced the panel during the selection procedure.
