Just a few minutes are enough, and the Nordkettenbahnen take you from the centre of Innsbruck up into alpine heights. The journey ends at Hafelekar, the high-altitude vantage point of the Nordkette at 2,256 metres, where the Tyrolean mountain world unfolds before you. The contrast is what gives this cable car ride its appeal, from the urban life of the city into the silence of the Karwendel.
