The Tyrolean state capital
Day trip to Innsbruck
Just a good half hour by car or train, and you immerse yourself in the alpine flair of Innsbruck. Between historic façades and the impressive mountain backdrop, the state capital reveals its special charm. In the old town, elegant boutiques and fine cafés invite you to linger, and right in the middle the famous Golden Roof shines.

Renaissance above Innsbruck
Ambras Castle
Perched on a hill above Innsbruck, Ambras Castle is one of Tirol’s most significant cultural monuments. It is the world’s first museum and still stands today at its original place of creation. Magnificent halls, expansive gardens and extraordinary collections tell the story of 450 years of history.

A jewel above the Inn Valley
Tratzberg Castle
High above the Inn Valley, Tratzberg Castle is one of Austria’s most beautiful Renaissance castles. Around fifty minutes by car from Alpin Resort Sacher, it is well worth every kilometre. The lavishly appointed interiors take you back through the centuries, with wonderful views over the valley.

Bergisel Ski Jump
One of the most distinctive excursion destinations in Tirol is the Bergisel Ski Jump in Innsbruck. Architect Zaha Hadid shaped it into a unique landmark combining sporting history and bold architecture. From the viewing platform, a panorama opens up over Innsbruck and the Tyrolean mountain world.

From the city centre to the high mountains
Nordkettenbahnen
Just a few minutes are enough, and the Nordkettenbahnen take you from the centre of Innsbruck up into alpine heights. The journey ends at Hafelekar, the high-altitude vantage point of the Nordkette at 2,256 metres, where the Tyrolean mountain world unfolds before you. The contrast is what gives this cable car ride its appeal, from the urban life of the city into the silence of the Karwendel.

Europe’s highest zoo
Alpenzoo Innsbruck
On the north slope above Innsbruck lies Alpenzoo, Europe’s highest zoo. Dedicated entirely to the wildlife of the Alps, it showcases native species in naturalistic enclosures. An encounter with nature and species conservation come together here, along with an extraordinary view over the city.

A very special magic runs through the underground wonder chambers and the expansive garden.

High above Sölden, around an hour and a half to two hours by car away, at 007 Elements you immerse yourself in the world of James Bond. You also enjoy sweeping views over the Ötztal mountains, made for the big screen.
