Austria is in lockdown and hotels are currently still not allowed to welcome guests. But what does that mean for us here at the Alpin Resort Sacher? Although we had so been looking forward to an exciting pre-Christmas season with our guests, and had put together a varied Advent programme with highlights such as a husky sled ride and tobogganing excursions with our director Anton Birnbaum, for now it means a breather. A breather that we are using to get off to a flying start as soon as we are allowed to again.
"It is of course a great shame that we are currently not allowed to welcome guests, but we are definitely using the time to train our team and keep everyone well qualified. We are certainly looking forward to pampering guests in our spa once more."

The countdown to Christmas has begun – here with us too. While the snow is already being cleared outside and "Last Christmas" by Wham! is playing on the radio, we are decorating our lobby, bar and restaurants, hanging the Christmas lights around the building and sorting the festive decorations that will soon be available again in our shop and at our stand.
Have you ever seen our very special Advent wreath, measuring two metres in diameter? It is normally decorated by Mrs Gürtler together with children from the Seefeld primary school. This year our caretaker Drago took it on, together with our apprentices Julia and Phoebe – and we think they did a wonderful job.
We are also able to use this time to renovate our three "living studios" in our signature alpine chic style. We are very much looking forward to sharing pictures and welcoming our guests here.
On this second weekend of Advent, we would like to thank our team, our partners and our guests for their loyalty and confidence, and we wish you all a truly wonderful Advent season. We can hardly wait to welcome you back here with us, to head out on a snowshoe tour with you and to go cross-country skiing. Until then, let us get into the Christmas spirit together – for example with our Advent calendar.
